StreetWork
StreetWork is a community-based, non-denominational Christian organisation actively working with young people at risk of homelessness, violence, abuse and substance dependency in the Northern Sydney region. StreetWork has worked for over 25 years to reach out to at risk youth and help them change their lives through street support, anger management, emergency food and accommodation, and counselling. The organisation also provides camps, outreach workshops, youth achievement programs, and a Duke of Edinburgh Award programme for the homeless.
Dr Brendan Nelson has been an active supporter of StreetWork and has attended a number of events the organization has held including a recent Chatswood breakfast that celebrated the achievement of program participants.
